I had one of the best three days in Bandung last week. Drove there on Wednesday with Bangun, then leyeh-makan-nonton-leyeh for the next two days. I saw a horrible thing though; a man got beaten up in front of Circle K in Dago (the one where that infamous geng motor called Brotherhood gathers every Sat night).
Anyway, when I and Bangun got there, this 30-something man was down, his back flat on the floor, and a bunch of younger-looking guys were hitting him hard with bare hands, a block of woods (eh...bahasa inggrisnya balok kayu tu apa ya?), not-so-empty beer bottles, and kicking him madly. It was brutal, I mean, I'd never seen something like that in front of my eyes before. Satisfied (I assumed) with the beating, the guys drove off in their motorcycles to God knows where. What a big bunch of cowards. But then again what do you expect, them helping the man they'd beaten up mercilessly?
Oh, I didn't only leyeh in Bandung. I made my assignment; a two-minute video clip of me and G.E.N.K with the help of Bangun. The result? A big, fat A for my Multimedia's final grade. Whoppee.
That was last week. This week, however, I start working in APTN. In fact, I am now writing this from the office, 'cos turned out, when there's no big, global-scaled news, all we do is just, well, nothing. For the last six hours I've been sitting, reading my book and old newspapers, chatting mindlessly, smoking, and lunch. Deep down, I scarily hope that a bomb will explode somewhere in town, or that something equally interesting will happen in a minute.
What's my point for today? Nothing. This is one of those moments when I want to thank whoever made this blogger for giving idle people like me a place to blab anytime I want.
