My own festive season, pt. II

Here goes the three-day second part of the birthday season:

1. Saturday, November 5th.
My birthday; I turned 21. The day started off really nice, with Bangun coming over at exactly 12 o'clock bringing some gifts, cake, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I normally don't like flowers (I prefer chocolate, or something else I can either eat or keep for more than three days), but the bouquet he gave me was so big and really, really nice looking. In the afternoon, as it was still the third day of Lebaran, the Benprang Bunch gathered in my house; Dad, Bang Manda + Mbak Vicky + Agam (little gorgeous Agam), Bang Agung + Mbak Ai, Bang Itom and Bang Iki. Bangun also came over again and it was fun hanging out surrounded by them. Everyone got along with everyone else, I almost didn't want to go out of my house.
But of course I had to, 'cos another part of my birthday was coming up. I spent the night with the girls, Bangun and Ebonk. We had dinner in Tomodachi and then coffee in PIM 2 (I forgot the name--was it Molinari or something?). The down side was, Rozelle couldn't make it as she had to go to Jogja. I hated it so much, but couldn't really do anything about it 'cos it was Lebaran afterall, the day when family comes first. The night was okay, even though I kept thinking that it would've been better if Rozelle had been there.
All in all, my 21st candle-blowing fiesta was great. I got nice presents (plus a pending digicam from Mom--heehee), I got nice people with me (whole family, friends and boyfriend all in the same day--doesn't happen everyday), therefore I was certainly bummed when the day had to end. Cheers, 21.

2. Wednesday, November 9th.
Bangun's birthday; also 21. We did nothing significant during the day, only leyeh-leyeh in his house. In the evening, we had dinner with his family in this French restaurant in Cipete. I don't remember the name, but it was a small restaurant with one of the nicest decorations I've ever seen. There were artsy pictures hung all over the walls, and there was a small bar in the corner of the room. I tried escargot for the first time in my life, and I like it. Nice dinner, nice...bonding with The Family, and it was definitely nice to spend almost the whole day with Bangun. The downside, however, was that he lost the helium-filled balloon I gave as part of my gifts, just a few days later.

3. Friday, November 11th.
Runi's birthday; the last one of us to turn 21. This time, Rozelle was in town. I, the girls, Bangun and Angga had dinner in Tartine. We had been planning to dress up a little, but cancelled due to some reasons. Anyway, the dinner was good. Nothing beats good foods and good company, huh. We ordered appetizers, main courses, cake, coffee and cocktails. A complete set of meal; nice way to celebrate, Run!

Bottomline, finally the four of us (plus Bangun) are 21 now. I don't think it's any different from 20, actually. I mean, last year I was really dreading going from 19 to 20, maybe because of the "kepala 2" thing, but this year was just...another birthday, despite of the so-called legal age. My hope? As usual, may the celebration last the whole year 'round, and that celebration is nothing without my VIPs.
