No "i" in Genk
How 'bout we go out and talk
Not in present tense
If you want
Let's just reminisce
How 'bout we go take a walk
Around the big mall
Among the clothing racks
Find people we can diss
How 'bout we sit, place our orders
Glasses of Martini, cups of coffee
Dozens of laughters,
And a thousand of blinding flashlights
Because the pictures are getting old,
The four-chaired table aren't meant for two,
And for the reason of, simply, missing you,
How 'bout, soon, we make a date?

Never really gave up on breaking out of this two-star town
After weeks of distress, I finally got to rest my brain and not think about work. Better, I got to do it in Batu Karas for three days with Bangun, Runi, and Ebonk.
We went there on Wednesday and I had the most unfortunate trip ever in my life. In one night, we:
a) Got slowly hit by a car from the front side when driving uphill
b) Got stuck in a traffic jam for quite a while
c) Got lost for a good two hours (or so Bangun said - I was asleep the whole time)
d) Hit a dog, which left an obvious dent to my car
e) Couldn't stay in our favorite cottage in Batu Karas because it had been swept by the recent tsunami that hit the place
f) Didn't get another comfy hotel
g) Got something stuck under my car, which made a very weird, disturbing sound.
However, slowly, things went uphill from there. We stayed in the second best hotel we could find, and well, do nothing important because that's the true meaning of holidays, right. Too bad, the place was more crowded than the usual. I guess people have slowly "discovered" Batu Karas. So much for secluded beach.
And what's Batu Karas without magic mushroom? We got "funny" on the third night, laughing at everything and nothing. I and Bangun also got to celebrate our postponed third anniversary dinner in one of the small restaurants there. He gave me this small agenda for work, and a Lego R2D2 pen!! It's so cool, I don't wanna use it too often.
Like all good things in the world, the holiday must end. We got back to Jakarta on Saturday night, and now here I am back in my office desk. Ew. Can't wait for another long weekend to come.

A little rejection won't hurt, right?
Know what I just did? I just turned down an interview from MRA Printed Media Group, as a reporter at FHM. Haha. Sombongnya pol gak sih. The lady called yesterday, and again today to reconfirm, and I said no, because I had a meeting I can't get out of on Monday.
Which is totally bull. On Monday at 11 a.m, I'll probably be sitting pretty in my chair with nothing to do, and then I'll be starting my Facebook hour.
The thing is, I finally agreed to commit myself in this company, having been promised a direct involvement in a new, supposedly huge project. I guess it's bye-bye media career for a long two, three years, then. It's kind of a bum to think that.
Lately it's all about work in this blog. Moving on to a lighter subject, I had my third anniversary with Bangun yesterday. Like the years before, I'm gonna say, who would've thunk. We've made it this far with all the sugar, spice, and each other's annoying temper! Here's to more celebrations ahead, Oom.
Well, we haven't had any celebratory dinner or something though, so maybe stories are catching up later. Right now, as I'm suffering from this flu, all I wanna do is temporarily place my nose somewhere else. That way, maybe my head won't feel as heavy as Titanic.
