It's been two whole years for Baped now. How time flies, huh. All queasiness aside, we celebrated our second anniversary by having dinner in Cafe de la Bastille, a small, homey French restaurant in Cipete and then caught a midnight show in Citos.
The foods were great and cheap; less than 200k for escargot and steaks are definitely wallet-friendly. What's interesting was, we got 1/4 bottle of wine for free from a nice couple who sat beside us. Then, the owner visited us and gave us two shot glasses of this nice-tasting liquor because she recognised Bangun's face as one of the regulars in the restaurant. Hahah, the perks of being a total dead ringer to your brother..
So the free drinks topped the dinner. Unfortunately, the movie Good Sheperd we watched was a lowlight of the night. I can sum up the movie into one word: Boring. The main story is interesting, actually, about the life of a secret agent. But God, could the plot go any slower than that?!
Overall, the day was nice nice nice. Two years, who could've thought, right Oom?

This week
Last Sunday I had my Java Jazz dose a.k.a my and Bangun's early anniversary celebration for this year. Too bad we only can afford one day instead of three, but still it was better than not going at all, which we almost.
The whole festival was less eventful than last year, starting from the line up. I thought at first, I'm not a big jazz fan anyway, so what the hell; I'm just gonna go and enjoy whoever's playing. Unlike last year, this time I didn't find any show that could amaze me. However, among the food stalls there was J.Co, and that kept me pretty happy. Hee hee.
That was last weekend. Compared to this week, that weekend felt like heaven. It's been kinda crazy in the office these last four days, with the subregional counterterrorism meeting, Sumatra quakes, and Garuda explosion to top the week. Now my body aches, my eyes are barely open, and my head feels light.
I would like to get so high and sleep for like a week or something.
