It's this time of the year, when birthdays, holidays, and *fingers crossed* good times usually come near me. It started with Rozelle's birthday last Tuesday, then Bune's yesterday. Rozelle's first. Finally, after more than a month, I and the girls got to meet each other again in Roz's party in Cakalang, a Manado restaurant in Gandaria. It was also the first time I tried Manado foods; all spicy therefore it's nice. Afterwards we went to Tamani PI to have a celebration cake, served with more gossips, giggles, and picture-taking.
Last night was Bune's; we celebrated it in Rozelle's house. There were also cakes, and the whole thing. Sad thing is, Bune had to go early with Syarif after only like an hour or something. So it left the three of us lazing around 'til midnight-ish. Also yesterday, I got a haircut. Turned out I still had the time for that, huh.
Two down, two to go. I have around two weeks before I turn 21, and I kinda can't wait for that day. Anyway, girls, it's really really nice to...be around you again. Went shopping with Runi, trying on clothes, then rapat G.E.N.K...Looking forward to more of those!

What's for today
Highlights: I got to see Bangun again! And it's still fun. I mean, after our..little drama last week. Anyways, he gave me this compilation CD with all-Indonesian songs in it. He knows I'm not that...attentive when it comes to local music scenes (in other words, I often don't get the music), so he's trying to get me to know some of the songs and maybe like them. And yeah, I do find the songs in the CD are good enough. Like Humania's Terserah, I used to like that song but I just remembered that the song existed tonight. Also there's this nice Souljah song, Club 80's I love You which is so catchy, old tunes from Cherry Bombshell, Singiku, and Sheila On 7's Pede. Only Bangun wrote it with an H in the middle, so it spelled "Pedhe" in my CD player. Heehee. There's even a song by Panbers, Gereja Tua. Well it's not unusual for us, as it's kinda one of "our songs". Haha yeah I know, Panbers.
The stupid thing is, there's this one song entitled "Kupu-Kupu Malam" or something, and I didn't know who sang it. It sounded a lot like Peter Pan (I hate them, mind you), but Bangun said it wasn't. It was "some band that sound like Peter Pan" and they're called "The Ariels", so he'd written on the sleeve.
Almost the whole night, I believed him. I believed that there was a band called The Ariels whose vocalist sounded A LOT like Peter Pan's Ariel. Bangun jokingly had written The Ariels so that I would like the song, 'cos he always mocks me about liking "the" bands (yang by the way gak segitunya juga sih, it's a coincidence that some of the bands I like are the "the" bands).
To sum up the highlights, (a) The CD, overall, is great. It's definitely ear-friendly, good for my driving company, plus it's from Bangun. (b) I am still THAT gullible, after all these years. Please, Ped, The Ariels?!
Lowlights: Bangun's going for an Umroh trip with his family tomorrow. Boo. On a totally irrelevant note, today I hated my hair. My bangs are getting Bernard Butler-esque, and my hair's getting too long. Rudy PIM, I miss you so much.

My wonder..ing..ment.. (and I'm the English teacher?! Nyeh) of the day: Kenapa orang-orang yang baca doa puasa di TV itu selalu anak kecil ya? When you look at them closely and in an exceeded amount, they're kinda..freaky. (And I teach a bunch of six-year-olds?! Nyeh)
Hey, there's gonna be another show of Holiday On Ice; Hollywood On Ice. Jakarta, Nov. 11th - 14th, 2005. Woo! I'm there! Remember those Holiday On Ice shows back then? I don't. But I can remember that I liked them so much, I went to almost every one of them. Holiday On Ice, Disney On Ice, I was a sucker for shows on ice--specially the souvenirs. So next month, look for me in one of those dates above. I'll be there with Mom and Dinda. Can't wait!!

this and that
Almost a month without updates. Hmmh.
Here's what "lately" sounds to me:I was busy with my midterm stuff for the past two weeks. Of course there was that big pile labeled "assignments", and also the actual revising, plus the constant worrying about me catching the AI. I know everyone is worried about that, but I have a reason to be a little more paranoid than everyone else.
See, I had to make a feature about Ragunan for my Feature Writing class. Uh-huh, you guess the story. There I went to the zoo (to Schmutzer, actually) right three days before it was closed down for 21 days. I didn't get in touch with any of the poultry there; heck, I didn't touch any of the animals. But still, after that, my parents, my sister, Bangun, my friends, even my Feature Writing lecturer told me to have my blood checked.
The problem is, needles scare the hell out of me.
So here I am, praying that I'll remain fine like I still am now. Things you do to get an A, huh. It's kinda worth it, though, Mr. Eko said he liked my primates article and that I had the most interesting title *gloat gloat*
Anyway, that was midterms. From daily life, there's nothing significant, still. I and Bangun have been going out for more than half a year (which I sometimes find rather unbelievable for me), and oh, there's one more thing: I miss my girls!! By that, I mean Runi Bune Rozelle all at the same time. I think it's been a while huh girls? It's October now though, the first of my festive months when we seem to see each other more. Our birthdays are coming up, plus Bangun's. Weehee, I'm more than ready to celebrate!
