I was literally trying to catch a bus earlier tonight when I heard some guy carrying a beverage cart calling out, "Halo! Alumni 70!"
I naturally turned to see that it was Gondrong! You see, he sells beverage in a cart in front of my old high school, and we used to tease him for having a crush on Bune. Anyway. Seeing him tonight after so many years somehow made me smile alone on the way to the station. Haha. Maybe it's the fact that he remembers me. Or maybe it's just plain good to see someone from the past who brings back all those sugar and spice that made everything nice.
Another..unusual event took place tonight. I was getting water in my office's pantry, and there was this guy filling his own glass on the other water dispenser. He's short, a bit round, with longish hair and a pair of thick-framed glasses.
We were minding our own business, cos I've seen him around but never really know his name. Out of nowhere, he turned to me, smiled, and said, "You like Star Wars, don't you?"
What a pickup line.
Next thing I know, he extended his hand, after sweeping it briefly on his pants because apparently it was..musty, and said his name. He said he saw the little figurines I put on my Mac hard disk, and boy, you have to see his face. It's like he had just found his Tattooine in me.
I had to catch my train, so I couldn't stay for a chat. When he passed my desk, I swear he let out a little snort, leaving his glance on the figurines.
Moments like that DO happen, huh.
