This is not a review.

I watched Bangkok Dangerous on Saturday night with Bangun, right after our monthliversary dinner, celebrating three and a half years of us.

I should have known better when reading the title, Bangkok Dangerous. It screams "crappy Asian gangster flick." It is such a disappointment coming from Nicolas Cage. The movie, overall, is awkward. Cage is supposed to be this cold-blooded bounty hunter, but he let his emotions come between him and his job.

Then be a babysitter like Skadandy in Friends, don't get a job where you have to kill people mercilessly.

Bangun said the movie reminded him of Dealova (don't ask why we watched it). There's a scene where Cage and his Thai girlfriend suddenly just stood by the window in the girlfriend's house, holding up their hands and entwined them, while staring deep into each other's eyes.

Please.

The action parts are also lame-o. Not enough heart-stopping stunts, too many wasted bullets. The characters look like they cannot use a weapon.

Thank God the movie didn't last long, running just about 90 minutes. I should've forced Bangun to watch Mamma Mia! instead.
